Dave Wednesday

Well what a start, everything running smoothly, then a bit of the M4 is closed, be using Steph's rowing navigation skills we skirt round Bristol, pick up Emily, only to get within 10 miles and hit gridlock. If it were not for the genius of Local boy Pete Wilkie and Niki Hart's iPhone we might still be there. Got to site about 6.00pm. 12 hours in the car.

Anyway the site is as awe inspiring as always, even when you've been before the extent of tents and stages takes your breathe away as you come through security and get to the brow of the valley.

After a little head scratching all the tents were up and our little WaterAid supporters Tent Village is up and running. Next steps some pears cider and something to eat and onto the stone circle to see the setting sun. The picture is of some Irish blokes who were lighting one of the many chinese lanterns that get released from the stone circle area in the kings meadow. It really is enchanting and very primal as all these people gather on a hillside, like many must have done around the summer equinox for thousands and thousands of years.
Back to earth tomorrow as we have our first shift on latrine cleaning duties.
